The Schroeder Original Stoptail Bridge
With standard stud spacing and custom styling, the Schroeder Original Stoptail is an excellent replacement for LP Junior, PRS and Tone-Pros stoptails or for use on custom instruments. The contour on the back of the tailpiece is a very comfortable resting place for your palm during playing and the design provides several advantages over other adjustable stoptails.
Easily adapts to a 10” or 12” radius: The out-of-the-box bridge radius is 11” making it easily adjustable to 10” or 12” radius by fine tuning the saddles during setup. (If installing on a 10” radius fingerboard, slightly deepen the outer saddle slots. If installing on a 12” radius fingerboard, slightly deepen the inner saddle slots.) Easy string loading: The Schroeder stoptail is solid on the underside (as opposed to other brands that have holes in the bottom of the string guide) for ease of string-loading and to prevent the string ends from coming through the bottom of the bridge which can result in finish scratching.

Hey PRS players!
Had a few questions recently and I thought I’d share in case you might have any of the same issues…
Q: I am really frustrated with my non-adjustable stoptail. Will the Schroeder Stoptail fit my PRS SE?
A: YES! We have lots of guys who use our bridge on their PRS guitars! The stud spacing is the same, so you can easily swap out the non-adjustable bridge for our fully adjustable Schroeder Adjustable Stoptail in just a few minutes.
Q: Do I have to adjust the saddles to match the radius on my fingerboard?
A: Our bridge comes out of the box with an 11” radius, so it can be easily adjusted to fit a 10’ or 12’ radius. For your PRS, most likely it will have a 10’ radius, so you’ll just have to notch the saddles a little deeper on the outer saddles. We even have a How-To video on our website to show you exactly how to notch the saddles. PLUS, we added a slight guide groove for notching, so you’ll know your string is centered. Still don’t want to notch them? That’s ok!! We’ll do it for you for $10. Easy peasy.
Q: Can I just use the studs that are on the guitar?
A: Sure! Our stoptail will fit on the existing studs with no modifications…. BUT, I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that we have a fantastic set of studs that will also easily retro-fit to your guitar. Our Schroeder studs come with bushings, but you can keep those as our gift to you and use the bushings that are already in the guitar top. Our studs are robust (read: top won't break off!) and fully adjustable from the top- with no special tools needed. We have a SAE (standard, imperial thread) and a Metric version, so we’ve got you covered either way. I get emails weekly telling me how much our studs have improved a players PRS guitar… but yes, you can just use the ones that you have. :)

I just wanted to let you know that your bridge is brilliant. To finally hear my PRS intonate properly actually makes me want to play it again! At the bridge's lowest setting, with 9/thousands relief in the neck, the action is almost exactly at specs. I completely love that, since I have a tendency to keep pushing the action lower until everything sounds like mush.

A few months in, my fondness for the bridge has only grown. I can honestly say that the Schroeder Bridge has changed my guitar playing world. It intonates so perfectly, and sits at the absolute perfect height. It's easy on the back of my hand, and I swear it makes the guitar sound much better.

I had a new guitar with other hardware, and it sounded asleep. Not bad really but not open and alive like I was hoping it would be. I didn't really think your bridge would help all that. As soon as I put the bridge on the guitar it felt much more alive. I think your bridge woke the guitar up. I'm very interested in the guitar again and that means a lot. So, thank you to you!

The bridge & studs are on a 1960 Gibson Melody Maker. I've tried many bridges on it over the last 40+ years and never satisfied until now. No other bridge is remotely close to the quality of yours. I'll never need to look any further. The extra bonus: It's the classiest, sharpest looking bridge also. I will send you a picture when I refinish it ( still deciding on color ).
