Escali scales are made of high quality materials and are tested using rigid military testing methods. Where does the name Escali come from? Escali is the is the translated word for "scale" from the Esperanto language. What is the warranty on Escali scales? All Escali consumer scales come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Professional scales have a 1 year limited warranty. Can Escali scales be calibrated? Only certain Escali scales can be calibrated, please see specific product specifications for more details. Most other Escali scales do not need to be calibrated, accuracy is guaranteed out of the box. My scale's display reads "Unst", what does this mean? Your scale is in an unstable environment. Please make sure your scale is on a stable horizontal surface, free of vibration. My scale's display reads "Out2", what does this mean? Out2 is displayed when too much force (ie overload) has affected, and potentially damaged the loadcell. My scale's display reads "EEEE", what does this mean? Production takes place according to rigid Escali standards in their factories in the Far East. Are Escali scales legal for Trade? No, Escali scales are not legal for trade. Depending on your country or state, Escali scales may not be used in a retail environment where the price of the goods being sold is based on weight. What sizes are available for Escali Scales? Escali scales are available in a wide range of sizes and capacities. Please see specific product specifications for more details. How do I switch my scale from Metric to a US unit of measure? All Escali scales are capable of measuring in both Metric as well as Imperial Unit of Measures. Depending on the product your scale might either have a unit switch on the bottom of the scale or a unit button on the front to switch the unit measure. Terminology: A/C Power Adapter - an optional accessory available on some Escali scales which allows you to plug your scale into the wall. Add & Weight - Also known as Tare, a scale feature that lets you subtract your last weighing measurement from your new weighing measurement. When using the Tare feature you reset your scale to zero. This function, for example, lets you work with a container, and weight each item in the container separately. Athlete Mode - a setting found on some of the Health Monitor Scales. This setting increases the accuracy for individuals who exercise at least 10 hours per week and have been doing so for the previous 6 months. Backlit/Back light - an extra light source emitted from behind a scale's LCD display to make visual identification of measurements easier in low light situations. BIA - short for Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. In this technique, a safe, low-level electrical signal is passed through the body. The scale measures the speed of the current which is affected by water, muscle, bone, and fat. Using this data, the scale estimates the percentage of body fat, water and/or muscle mass. BMI - short for Body Mass Index. BMI is a measure derived of calculated weight and a person's height. BMI (body mass index) = weight (kg) divided by height-squared. Body Fat Percentage - the percentage of your total body weight that is fatty tissue. Body-Water Percentage (a.k.a. hydration) - The percentage of your total body weight that is water weight. Capacity - The maximum weight a scale can accurately measure. Counting Feature - a feature used to count large quantities of small objects by weighing a small sample set of objects to find and average weight per object. A large quantity of those objects are then added to the scale and the scale will count the total number of objects by dividing the average weight of one object into the total weight of all the objects combined. Dial - in reference to mechanical scales; the dial is the round part of the scale that displays the weight measurement as indicated by a moving needle. Graduation - the smallest unit of measurement available to given scale Instant-on Feature - a scale will automatically turn on when weight is applied to its weighing surface. Hold - feature on the scale that will capture the weight of the item or person, and will display the information after the item or person is taken off the scale. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) - the type of display used on all of Escali's digital scales. Legal For Trade - a Legal for Trade scale can be used in the trade where the price of the goods being sold depends on the weight of the goods. Each country and state might have their own legal requirements for such a scale. Please consult your local department of Measurement. Liquid Measuring - this feature will calculate volume based on liquid density of 1.0. Lithium Battery - a disposable battery made of lithium (metal) compounds. Currently, they are one of the most efficient batteries widely available in the consumer market. Loadcell - the loadcell is the heart of the scale, commonly attached underneath the weighing platform. The loadcell flexes with the weight being applied to the platform, and will (simply said) inform the circuit type of display used on all of Escali's digital scales. Muscle Mass Percentage - the percentage of your total body weight that is a lean muscle mass. NSF Mark - a certification given to products by NSF International, a not for profit public health and safety organization. Nutritional Scale - A special digital scale that calculates nutritional information of food placed on it by entering corresponding food codes. Those food codes help the scale identify what food is being weighed and pre-programmed dietary values associated with each code (provided by the USDA) are combined with the weight measurement to estimate nutritional values. Over-load - placing weight on a scale which is above its listed capacity. Tare - also known as Add & Weight. A scale feature that lets you subtract your last weighing measurement from your new weighing measurement. Track & Target - the Escali Track & Target scale allows a user to set a goal weight, either above or below their current weight, and track their progress towards achieving that goal weight. Current weight, goal weight, difference from goal weight and difference from last weigh-in are all displayed on the extra large display for easy comparison. Unit of Measure - any division of quantity accepted as a standard of measurement. Commonly used Units of Measure are Pounds, Ounces, Grams and Kilograms. Volume - an amount of 3-dimensional space. Commonly used volume measurements are Fluid Ounces, Milliliters, Cups or Tablespoons. Shipping  and handling charges are a flat rate of $5.95* for all orders using  Standard Shipping and FREE for orders over $49* within the continental  48 U.S. only, excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Virgin Islands & Puerto  Rico.

  All  packages are shipped with a verified FedEx, USPS or DHL tracking number  for online tracking and delivery confirmation. Expedited orders placed  after 1 PM (EST) may not process until the next business day. We strive  to process all expedited orders placed before 1PM EST the same day  provided adequate stock is available and the order successfully passes  all necessary verification processes. Orders received over the weekend  may not process for shipment until Monday. Shipping carriers may deliver  your package on a Saturday and do not deliver on national holidays.

  

  Orders  to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands are  shipped based on USPS real-time costs depending on the weight of the  package, delivery method and final destination.

  

  PLEASE NOTE:Packages  less than 1 lb may ship via FexEx, USPS or DHL when our Standard  Shipping method is chosen. In some instances, your order may ship in  multiple shipments (due to product and warehouse availability) if  standard shipping is selected. We may use either carrier for each  shipment. If you have a PO Box, please provide your physical address as  well as the PO Box, or choose Priority Mail shipping to ensure your  package is deliverable.

  

  Orders  shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are subject to additional  charges. International orders are also subject to additional charges. U.S. TERRITORIES & CANADA

  LuckyVitamin.com  currently ships domestically to the United States including Alaska,  Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands. We also ship direct  from our warehouse to Canada.

  

  Canadian  orders are shipped via DHL Global Mail which can take approximately 1-3  weeks for delivery. Additional delivery options may be available for an  increased cost. Orders to Canada can be shipped through DHL Global Mail  to Canada. DHL Global Mail is delivered via Canadian Post (Max. 66  lbs.). As always customers outside the United States may be subject to  additional fees and charges. We ask that you please be aware of local  custom and importation laws.   Back Ordered Items

  On  rare occasions we may run out of stock of an item. This may cause a  slight delay of shipment for your order. If an item you ordered is going  to be backordered for an extended period of time, we will notify you  via e-mail of this delay and then automatically ship the products to you  as soon as they are available.

  

  Here  at LuckyVitamin.com we have a great relationship with our suppliers, so  we are usually able to get your products very quickly. If your  backordered item(s) will arrive in a timely manner, we will delay your  shipping so we can send your order in its entirety. If we can not have  your item(s) soon after receipt of your order, we will ship your partial  order and automatically ship the backordered item(s) as soon as they  become available at no extra cost to you. In the event several items are  backordered, you may receive several partial shipments.

  

  Order Status & Tracking

  Damaged & Incorrect Items

  If  your item arrives damage or is incorrect, please notify us immediately  via e-mail or telephone so we can resolve any problems to your  satisfaction.

  

  Cold-Pack Service

  We  offer a free cold pack service to insure the quality and potency of  certain temperature sensitive products. When you see the image below on  an item's detail page, it indicates that item will ship with cold pack  service and we recommend you choose an expedited shipping method.

  

  You  may also opt to include cold-pack service with your order by purchasing  a Cold-Pack. During the hotter months in order to insure the safety and  integrity of certain heat sensitive products and prevent melting,  deterioration or rancidity, it may require we pack product with  freeze-paks.  We recommend purchasing the Cold-Pack service with your  order. We may also choose not to ship the product if the weekend will  delay final arrival. Based on the size and value of the order an  additional $3.50 packaging and handling fee may be required.  If any  delay or additional cost will incur we will contact you for approval.

Refunds & Exchanges
 


Unopened  items can be returned or exchanged for any reason. Simply send the  items back to us within 30 days of receipt and we will refund your money  or exchange your product. When we receive your package we will credit  the card you paid us with for the full purchase price of your product  minus any shipping fees.

  

  We  apologize, but because of product shelf life products returned after 30  days will have a 20% restocking fee. We are not able to accept returns  on products after 45 days. Additionally, if you are returning/exchanging  a quantity of 12 or more of the same item there will be a 15%  restocking fee due to inventory control and product shelf life.

  

  In the event of returning a free shipping item there is a mandatory deduction of $5.95 from your total refund.

  

  INSTRUCTIONS:

  1.  Place items you are returning in sturdy packaging. Make sure all items  are packed tightly and securely. We are not responsible for breakage  during shipment of returned items.

  2. Indicate whether you would like an exchange or a refund.

  3.  Make a copy of the purchase order that was enclosed with your original  order, highlight the items you are returning, and place the copy in the  box with the products.

  4. Use the mailing address below to address your return shipment.
