MX-SH-1000 Category #3 Shin Pad - From a cosmetic standpoint we wanted the Box goalies to look thicker down low so the appearance wasn’t so top heavy.
This Shin is a slight variation from past MaxLax shins adding HD plastic side wings that provide wrap around protection. Feedback from the goalie union dictated we should make a shin pad that wouldn't spread too wide and become illegal.
ultimately we manufactured a protective and comfortable shin pad with more flexibility for better movement. The adjustable 3 piece foot offers fill wrap around protection that just doesn't sit on top of your foot. Cold pressed USA made plastic is used on all of our shins and is the strongest plastic available for sports.
The Knee area is hinged for flexibility in the knee and wraps around for superior coverage to the inner knee. These shins come with a soft inner foam in the leg channel and a detachable knee pad that works in conjunction with the Maximum Lacrosse goalie pants
