This is a high-end Jelco® tone arm by Ichikawa Jewel Co. of Japan. The arm is new old stock and still in its original bulk (non-retail) packaging.

If you are looking for an 'audiophile' quality tonearm, then look no further.

Jelco® tonearms are known for their incredible performance. We understand this arm was once sold as a Nakamichi (wiki) Transcription Arm, another legendary name in the audio business. It was also used in a number of systems, including the CM Labs and LAD (London Acoustical Developments) turntables from the late 80's and 90's.

At 239mm, the SA-370 arm is longer in comparison to similar-priced arms listed elsewhere, which measure 229mm or less. It also features a super-lightweight headshell. The Jelco SA-370 tonearm uses wired-in connections terminating in 6 thinly-insulated wire ends. Four of the wires (blue-red-green-white) are for the cartridge connections, and the two black wires are grounds.

The head shell accepts a wide range of cartridges. For further information, see our detailed drawing.

This type of arm is often referred to as a "Transcription Tone Arm". However it is not a broadcast transcription tone arm, which has to be capable of playing 16" discs.
