FEATURES

·         Same Operation  Deploys spoiler wing just like the factory system.  Either by using the dash switch or driving; up at 75 MPH (120 Km/h) and down at 37 MPH (60 Km/h). This 2" (50mm) eRam kit deploys the wing 0.6" (15 mm) higher than the factory's stock 1.4" (35 mm) raised height.

·         Lighter  Save precious weight at the top back of your turbo.  Weighs 1/3 less than the factory system.

The hydraulic components are sealed and were not designed to be rebuilt.  The hydraulic rams must be completely dismantled and cut open to install new seals – then they must be perfectly aligned and soldered back together again.  Not a DIY task.  Even if you get the hydraulic system rebuilt - in time SOMETHING WILL FAIL.  It is a needlessly complex system that is PRONE TO FAILURE. Many hydraulic systems failed while under warranty - they began failing in year one, and continue failing as the system ages.

Don't wait until your 997 Turbo’s factory hydraulic system catastrophically fails and ruins your paint job or creates a mess in your engine compartment - or much worse, causes a fire!  If you see fluid leaking from the bottom of either hydraulic ram – or get the spoiler warning light, your system is ready to fail.  Don't get stuck with your wing cocked half way up or not working.

Operation

Wing operation with an eRam kit installed is identical to the factory system; either by using the dash switch or when driving. Automatically extends the wing up after reaching 74 MPH (120 km/h) and retracts it upon reaching 37 MPH (60 km/h).  The motor driven rams are designed for harsh environments and are protected from moisture or water with a dual-seal design. Adding the optional Dust & Moisture Boots protects your eRam investment from harsh under hood conditions.

The Porsche® 997 Turbo owner’s manual states that the Turbo should not be driven without proper wing operation – the car’s aerodynamics were designed around an operational wing:

High Speed Testing

The eRam kit performed as designed during several high speed track trials to 200 MPH! Many eRam sets have been purchased by owners that track their Turbo.  They love the 4″ eRam system as they want the factory look when down, with the benefit of higher down-force at the track.  Wing operation is stable with smooth and precise actuation.  Several reports of quicker lap times achieved with the 4″ eRam wing actuation system.  On the 997 Turbo coupe, the wing is raised 2.6″ [66 mm] higher than standard factory height. Street or track, operation is exactly the same.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase.  Rennkit will strive to make you satisfied with your merchandise.  Contact us – let us work to resolve any issue first.  However, you may return any unused (as new condition) part within 20 days from the original ship date (Foreign customers have 30 days to return parts) for a full refund less restocking fees.

Simply send an email with reason for return and describe the reason on the back side of your invoice and include it with the parts being returned.  Allow up to 3 weeks from date of shipment for processing refunds and exchanges.
