If your looking for a conversation piece that is the mother of all barrel bottles, this might be for you. 
I found several months ago at a local sale. 

The bottle is embossed,

"DISTILLED IN KENTUCKY
OLD KENTUCKY
1849
RESERVE BOURBON WHISKEY 
S. PERKINS CO."

It is a light olive green in color and stands a whopping 20 inches tall.  It is blown in a four-piece mold with a tooled, ground lip.  It does not appear to have been blown as a bottle per se, as the bottom is blown opened and covered by a metal base (stainless steel?). The base does not appear to be removable.  I am unsure of the age of this item and research has not yielded any clues.  Overall, the bottle is in excellent condition, however there is a crack which emerges from the medal base and angles off approximately an 1-1/2 inches on the base seam (see photos).  It is not noticeable on display and appears stable.  Other than this defect, the bottle is clean and shiny. 

I suspect that it was either made as a store sample or was once possibly a lamp, yet could easily be converted to the latter as a bar display light.  Regardless, this is a highly unusual piece and certainly a conversation piece in any bitters or liquor bottle collection.  Don't forget what it would look like lit up in a "man cave!"
