Shimano Revolution Offshore Overhead RodsIf there’s an offshore fish species worth targeting, then the Revolution Offshore series has a rod for it. There are some quite specialised options in the 2016 lineup, such as a pair suited to reef work with Bottom Ship jigs, and an aluminium bent butt option for deep dropping out near the shelf with reels like the new BeastMaster 9000. The rest are versatile one and two-piece spin, full grip jigging rods, 10-15 and 15-24 kilo troll rods for use with overheads, and a two-piece stickbait stick to tap into this exciting new trend in offshore fishing. Fittings are as you’d expect — first class — with the 24-30 ton Toray graphite blanks featuring Shimano custom reel seats, split grip and ergonomically-shaped EVA custom handles, and of course Fuji K series guides with Alconite inserts for friction-free fishing.
