Vintage tool for rug making - I think it is called a "punch needle", but I am not certain of this.
There is no brand name on this item, but it bears a patent number that was issued to W C Duncan of Liverpool in 1930.
The handle has a red grip on it.


Total length (including handle) is about 5.75 inches (14.5 cm).

I do not know anything rug-making and I cannot judge the condition in any expert way.
