You are bidding on a pair of movie accurate ecto detection goggle prop replicas inspired by the first Ghostbusters film (specifically the Hotel Sedgewick scene).

The Frame

These were produced by a professional resin caster from a real AN/PVS-5A facemask.  The mask has been cast in black resin and painted military olive drab on the outside and coating with a sealer to protect.   The mask was cast extra thick to be sturdy, durable, and be able to take a beating.  These goggles include movie accurate labeling - the 2 lens labels and the side instruction label are all real foil labels.  You can actually see through these goggles when wearing them.  See pics.

 

Accurate Detailing

The lenses themselves were constructed by me after exhaustive research of both the screen used prop and measurements and plans in the Ghostbusters community.  They were then resin cast and include real brass thumb screws and the face plate includes screen accurate socket cap screws.  They also feature green transparent lenses to give everything an eerie green haze. The side knobs are resin casts and accurate to the film as well.   Resin cast battery cover completes the exterior detailing.  On the backside of the frame you will find film-accurate foam face padding on the forehead and cheek-bone sections for hours of comfortable usage at CONS or conventions.  Additionally, a custom elastic 3-point harness is included to ensure it fits faces of all sizes and is a fixed with real brass snaps (harness is removable).  The goggles have been given a light distressing to look like they've been in service since 1984 for an extremely accurate finish.  The painting of the lenses was done with such detail that they are visually indistinguishable from real metal.  See the pics and you be the judge.

 

The Electronics

These goggles are decked out with a SUPER BRIGHT (15,000MCD) green LED inside each lens for an awesome scanning effect.   Additionally, there is a RED blinking LED on the top to simulate scanning is in progress and also to let you know the power is on.  All LED’s are powered by one 9volt battery (included) stowed inside the goggle frame and out of the way along with a discreet, unobtrusive power switch.  No pesky button batteries here!  All wiring is soldered securely with resistors to prevent burn out, providing worry free operation and a very long battery life.  The electronics in these goggles will allow you to run them for many many hours concurrently before needing a battery change.

 

Don’t spend your hard earned money on painted welding goggles or the lack luster replicas released by a certain toy manufacturer recently.  Insist on movie accurate prop replicas and impress even the most die-hard fan.
