This is the seat back centre leather cover from a VW Golf Mk3 GTI Colour Concept Heated Recaro seat.
The cover is in blue leather, it is used but good-to-excellent condition so still perfectly usable. It doesn't look bad but a good leather cleaner on it would remove any dirt or imperfections and bring it back to the radiant blue that it was. This would remove/reduce some of the cracks in the leather that are common with age. It could also be re-coloured black with no problem - I have company details that I could give to the buyer where to find the original colour dyes.
There are 2 small indents in the leather down the bottom (just visible in the photo, quite hard to see and wouldn't be noticeable when on the seat), these have been there for a while and are from storage but these would come out over time or could be rubbed out from the rear
I've photographed it without the foam base under it so you can see the side material but with the foam in it tightens up a bit.
The sides are all material that staples to the foam. They are a bit frayed but not heavily, it is only the beginnings and this is common with age. There are no rips in the material.
There is a padded lining inside and this is fine.
The plastic "ribs" at the top and in the top half that help hold the cover to the metal frame are fine, as is the lower one (this looks as new) that slides into the back cover.
This is now obsolete from VW so you can't get this any more. When you could it cost about £300. Very rare now.
