An impressive Bozo antelope mask from Mali, tribally used in the Sogo Kun masquerade.  Sogo Kun represents a tribal form of "edutainment" by the Kore Society of the Bozo people. Performances include religion, history, morals, observations of local contemporary political events, satire of behavior and simple entertainment through the music and dance.

This particular mask is exceedingly impressive in both appearance and size (see dimensions below).  It was made for use.  It is not a tourist mask.  Tribally used masks of this size, quality, condition are very rare.

The ears are attached by strings so they can wiggle as the dancer moves.
