Unused New Old Stock RCA 5R4GY Tubes.
1950s Construction.
MASSIVE long BLACK plates.
Base 'Hanging' Halo Getter.
Hanging filament.
Brown bases.
Beautiful looking tubes folks!
These are a very popular substitute for the (now very expensive) GZ34, they are a far far superior sub for the 5U4, 5U4g, 5U4gb, 5T3.
They are superb sounding rectifiers.
Very popular 'tweak' in guitar amps where they lower the H.T slightly which causes a slightly earlier break-up. It's my experience that most guitarists also prefer the tone of these over the GZ34, frankly it sonicaly beats the 5U4/g/gb hands down every time so great for your fender amp.
Please note, although the 5R4G is often used as a substitute for the GZ34/32 5AR4 it is not a direct equivalent and should not be treated as such. Although it will work without problems in the vast majority of amps please make sure your amp is suitable before using a directly heated rectifier like this in place of an indirectly heated rectifier like the GZ34/32. Using the standby switch in a guitar amp should negate most problems, in audio amps without a HT delay the power supply caps need to be rated for the full HT voltage which will be available for the first few seconds before the valves start to fully conduct. Ultimately YOU are responsible for what you do with your own equipment but if you need advice just use the 'ask seller a question' button and contact me.

Please study the pictures closely and see what a wonderful find these valves are.
Original USA RCA construction.
Huge Long black anode 'T' plates.
Condition is superb NOS condition, super clean pins, tight bases.
Supplied in new plain white boxes.

Guaranteed for 30 days. Vintage tubes maybe over sixty years old and hence any bad tubes have already failed.
In my experience if a vintage tube is defective it'll fail in the first couple of hours of use or last forever. Current production tubes often fail quickly due to shoddy manufacturing. Get the best, get Vintage!

These vintage valves will out perform and out last any modern produced valve/tube by a considerable margin.

TEST RESULTS

Superb test results, these NOS tubes all test above 100% with all sections within 5%. Pairs will be matched to within 3%.

Tested for shorts, leakage gas etc. All tests pass perfect.

I have a number of these and if you purchase more than one I'll supply them very closely matched at no extra charge.

Twice AVO tested and then finally tested before dispatch in my own equipment.

 RETURNS.
OK, here's the deal.
I have no interest in ripping folks off, if the valves I sell turn out to be unsuitable then I see no use at all in you hanging on to them. So basically your satisfaction is guaranteed.
With this in mind I'm willing to accept back any valves for any reason BUT returns will be handled sensibly on a case by case basis.
If I've described them incorrectly or they fail in the first 30 days then I'll refund you, no problem, after all that would be the fair thing to do. On the other hand it wouldn't really be fair to ask me to give a full refund on tubes just because they don't happen to suit your ears or equipment and you've rubbed half of the lettering off! It's also unreasonable to expect me or any other seller for that matter to provide a free trial service!
If you want to return valves for any reason other than 'Not As Described' then talk to me and we'll work something out, NO WORRIES!
If you're half anticipating a problem with the valves because 'let's say for example, you have a particularly sensitive phono stage or a particularly sensitive V1 guitar amp position and you're having a problem sourcing quiet valves for it just speak to me before purchasing.  I'm a reasonable guy with a 100% feedback record, if you are prepared to be reasonable yourself we will get on just fine.

IF YOU WANT TO RETURN THESE VALVES YOU MUST NOT DAMAGE THE PRINT, HANDLE THEM CAREFULLY AND AVOID TOUCHING THE LETTERING. ONLY REMOVE THEM BY HOLDING THE BASE!

I only leave feedback once the purchaser is completely happy and leaves feedback themselves. If you're not completely happy please email me before leaving non positive feedback.

I have over 40 years of experience working with, repairing and designing Valve audio equipment, I have recently started a guitar voicing service where you can bring your guitar and amp to my workshop and try a multitude of vintage valves in your amp and get the sound and tone you are searching for.
I also undertake repairs and servicing on any valve based equipment.  Feel free to email me for details, use the ask the seller question button. I can then offer a BIN listing, thanks.

Unless otherwise shown and stated, all valves will be sent in plain white purpose made tube boxes with an inner flap.
Items will be well packed and dispatched within two days of payment.I can ship these worldwide no problem however ebay rules say I need a signature on delivery so the costs will be as shown below.

UK                  £4.50  (Each additional valve is just £1 extra)
Europe             £10.00 (Add just £2 for each extra valve)
Rest of World  £12.00                        "

A considerable amount of the above costs are taken up by the 'signed for' service. I can ship for considerably less (as low as £3.50 for worldwide) depending on how you pay, if you're interested please contact me for more details.
I can combine items and ship them together, thus saving money.
I have no interest in making money from packaging and shipping charges, if I've 'over egged' the shipping costs I'll gladly refund any difference once the item has been shipped.

Thanks for looking, if you have any questions at all then please simply ask away.
