1926--1930's Philmore  Supertone Crystal Radio 

  Here's Philmore's early version of their family of crystal radios, this one has a metal base and glass dome dust cover and an original spring catswhisker. The detector and radio worked well with a pair of Baldwin headphones (see my other auction) and an outdoor aerial and ground. The instructions are printed on the original box that is included. The box is shelf worn with wear on it's edges, but firm and usable....it is old. The flap has been re-glued. The radio is bronze with spots of gold and has plenty of patina (looks antiqued).
