Seiko Arctura Kinetic 5m42 Watch All Stainless Steel Full Size New Old Stock

Description:

Having a clear up of unwanted things.

Here is a Seiko Arctura Kinetic new old stock watch.

Calibre is 5m42 Full size compared to the smaller mid size.

This is a kinetic watch that winds up with your wrist movement.

Stainless steel case with Gold accents (screws, power reserve button, crown, watch hands), glass is unmarked, the strap is new and uncut as you'd expect from a new watch.

There is the tiniest (pin-prick size) of marks on the extreme side of the watch case (opposite to the crown side) but as you probably can't see in the photo, they are extremely faint and only visible when looking really close up in certain light - nothing to worry about, it is where the watch was resting on its side in the shop display.  There is also faint marks on the gold crown, again, very faint where the watch has rested on its side.

The strap armour is new and unmarked as is the back latch.

The capacitor, to my knowledge, is the original one from the mid-90s but seems to hold some of its charge, however I have not monitored/tested the watch thoroughly.  I can put it on a charger if a potential buyer wants and do a thorough test - this usually re-awakens the capacitor a bit so it holds charge anything from 1-2 hours to 3-4 days+ (every capacitor is different depending on its condition).  Further charges usually improve/increase the capacity of the capacitor but there is no guarantee of this and some capacitors can just hold a few hours.

Options are to keep it 'as is' whatever the capacitor condition (the watch might need to be worn constantly/a lot to keep time but is still perfectly usable. The time might need to be set again after long periods [hours] of no motion).  If this is not acceptable/desired then I can replace the capacitor for a new one at cost - this vastly improves the charge of the watch beyond the originally intended charge. Message me for details.

If you are unsure of the condition then please ask.

International postage quotes are so expensive due to Royal Mail not providing a signed for fully insured service via standard airmail.  If there are cheaper alternatives via courier I will certainly use them and the postage quotes will obviously reflect this.

Please read the common sense section below as it does apply.
