This item is a powerful and rugged bluetooth CORDLESS barcode scanner from world leaders, Hand Held Products (now Honeywell). The model is the 4620, the complete plug and play kit, including scanner, bluetooth / charging base, power supply and USB base cable. This scanner is identical to the 4820, Honeywell just re-numbered the product when they took it over from Hand Held Products. The battery is BRAND NEW (£30 value), so expect trouble free use for years to come. The 4620 reads all normal barcodes and also 2-D barcodes similar to these, 
very common on mobile phones for example. It will read off paper, phone and LCD screens ! The scanner, base, cable and power supply are in EXCELLENT refurbished condition and all function perfectly. The specification of this scanner is impressive - please see the link to manufacturers data at the end of this listing, and check internet pricing !! A few of the special features : "Data Accumulate" mode allows barcodes to be scanned and collected even when out the 12-15 metre base range. "Presentation" mode allows the scanner to act as a hands free presentation scanner when stood up in the base.
The scanner WORKS OUT OF THE BOX (No configuration of bluetooth dongles needed). Attach the USB cable from base to computer, and the characters from the barcode appear on screen at the current cursor position as if they had been typed in, so any application that will accept typed characters will work with this scanner ! Please note these are configured for plug and play use on all normal windows computers and MACs but not for tablets or android devices. The scanner is supplied complete, along with manuals on disk in case you need to format the barcode, add extra characters, enable different barcode types etc.
