For sale is a Blade RackSwitch G8124. These switches were removed from a working environment and are fully tested. These are extremely powerful switches for the price and include a full set of advanced layer 3 features:
- Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
- Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
They also support Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). For full details on the switch, please see the datasheet:

These are manufactured by Blade Networks which is now owned by IBM. The firmware has been upgraded to the latest available version; 7.11.8.0. They have been reset to defaults and management access has been set up on the Management A port. Details will be supplied to the buyer.
Included with the switch:
- Rack mount ears
- 24x Blade BN-CKM-SP-SR 10G SFP+ SR Modules (The switch is locked to Blade/IBM branded modules)
- Dual Power Supplies
We have tested these switches with generic (Dell) DAC cables and they work without issue, so DAC cable manufacturer is not locked.
The airflow for these switches is rear to front.
The switches can be managed by the CLI over Telnet or SSH (Cisco like CLI interface) or by the easy to use Web interface. Full documentation is available online.
