Willis & Geiger was world renowned for their top of the line hunting and outdoor gear from 1902 to the early 1990s. For decades they outfitted American outdoorsmen with the best accoutrements available, and their clients included such legends as Teddy Roosevelt, Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, and James Doolittle. This Vintage WILLIS & GEIGER KHAKI POPLIN "HEMINGWAY" BUSH JACKET is in excellent condition, missing the bottom front button, and with a small spot of brownish soiling at the left wrist, some light greenish soiling at the lower left sleeve, a small spot of light brownish soiling at the lower right sleeve, a bit of dark soiling at the upper middle back, two very small spots of dark soiling at the interior left waist, and with some light scattered age wear evident (most pictured). Otherwise, the jacket is in excellent shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the crisp khaki 100% cotton poplin construction. Most interestingly, it boasts an elasticized waist, sports a bi-swing back, and features almost all of the original "brown horn" flat rimmed plastic buttons down the front, and at the cuffs, shoulders (to allow the sleeves to be rolled up), shoulder straps, and the 4 front pockets. It's a Size 46 Extra Long, made in the USA, and bears the classic "Willis & Geiger Outfitters" red maker's label at the inside neck, along with the original "ROCHESTER SPECIAL MAN" retailer's tag.
