TCA is a modified synthetic chemical based on common vinegar or acetic acid.  They are

much more potent exfoliators than Alpha Hydroxy (AHA) peels.

There is some down time associated with TCA peels, 3-10 days.  However, the results are usually well worth the wait!  While your healing after the peel your skin will reveal a new youthful complexion as it continues to stimulate more collagen and elastin plumping up the the fine lines and wrinkles over time.  Realize our skin didn’t get like this overnight so it may take a few peel applications to get the results each individual may be looking to achieve.

The most common percentages for a TCA facial skin peel are between (8-35%).  Stronger concentrations are commonly used to remove, moles, warts, skin tags and tattoo’s (50-100%), protecting the skin surrounding those areas with Vaseline.

All TCA Peels are considered Medium Depth peels for skin resurfacing with various concentrations for experienced users. Begin with lower strengths and move up over time for optimal results.

READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO APPLYING TCA PEEL ENCLOSED WITH YOUR ORDER.

If you are using chemical peels for the first time, use the lowest concentration peel and gradually move up to a stronger one each time as your skin acclimates safely.  Don’t start out with a peel that’s too strong thinking you will get better results for your money.  You will just end up burning your skin! Though you can dilute the stronger concentrations or purchase a sample size if you are cost conscious.  And remember to do a patch test 1^st so you have a baseline of what your skin can handle.

The TCA peels do get you the results quicker than the Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic and Mandelic peels but slow and safe is the way to go.  Once your skin has adjusted to the lower strength peels you can perform a TCA peel once a month.  It’s all about the maintenance.

CAUTION

TCA (Trichloroacetic acid) is very corrosive and will burn your skin.  It may cause permanent redness and scarring if not properly used.  People using any prescription products (like Differin, Accutane, Retin-A, etc.) with active herpes lesions, form keloid scars, and women who may be pregnant or lactating should consult a doctor before using this product. Many Dermatologists and Skin Spa Estheticians suggest a protocol of using an AHA product and/or retinoid nightly for 2

weeks prior to a chemical peel to more even coverage and skin tone.
