This lovely Crucilobiceras ammonite measures 28mm across its widest part. It was found on the Jurassic coast on Charmouth Beach. It is approximately 195 million years old!

All my ammonites have been processed in a weak acid to remove all additional mud and stone which may remain, they are then soaked in soapy water to remove the acid. As well as cleaning the ammonites this also tests for any that may be prone to break. The ammonites are then shined using a copper brush and varnished for preservation and photos are taken under a desk lamp.
