French 19th Century Petite Sonnerie Quarter Repeater Carriage Clock with Alarm, La Esmeralda, Made for Mexican Market, in Great, Fully Working Condition

French Grande and Petite Sonnerie quarter repeater carriage clocks are highly valued by collectors. This clock is Petite Sonnerie in passing (striking hours on the hours and quarters on quarter hours) and Grande Sonnerie on repeat (striking hours and quarters on demand). It also has a lever on the bottom that controls its striking in passing, from Petite Sonnerie to Silent. This clock strikes perfectly in all modes, runs great and alarm works. All functions are perfect. Balanced lever escapement shows some tarnish, as expected, but it is fairly clean and so is the movement. Brass case is very bright and shiny. Dial has several prominent hairline cracks and upper left corner repair. The clock's dial is signed La Esmeralda and was made for the Mexican market. I will include a key. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures 6.25" (16 cm) high with its handle extended.

I am not a clock dealer - I am a clock collector and a member of NAWCC. I currently have more than 200 clocks and I keep buying more, so I have to sell some. I would be selling many more if I had the time to list them...

Je parle le français un peu. Si vous êtes français je vous encourage à me parler le français.

Please note that I will not ship to an address that is different from the one listed by eBay or PayPal unless the winning bidder can really prove to me that the address is legitimate.

My prefered shipping for this is FedEx Home Delivery - UPS has been very bad at handling packages lately. Please note that FedEx shipments require destination's phone number, if eBay does not have yours and you are concerned about releasing it to me, we can find an alternate method of shipping.
