Director Isard had created the clone shadow troopers to replace the ARC and commandos that were constantly dying by the hands of the Separatists.  Like many of the Republic commandos, clone shadow troopers were trained to be lethal and efficient. They were trained to work independently or in pairs. They are far more superior than a commando when it came to operating covertly and combat due to their extensive training and armor capabilities. Their mission on Utapau was to place jammers in six main sinkholes so that General Grievous, who had launched the invasion there, would not be able to notice High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi's entrance or his invasion group. They succeeded, as Obi-Wan was not noticed and neither was his group.
At Utapau, Chancellor Palpatine assigned the shadow troopers to guard a secret storehouse there. Shadow troopers worked for Chancellor Palpatine during the Clone Wars guarding highly valued targets such as officers of the Republic and gathering intelligence for him. During that time, the Chancellor took over the Galactic Republic and created the Empire. Even though many clone troopers changed from Phase II clone trooper armor, clone shadow trooper kept their armor as a reminder of Palpatine's ascension to power.
Later on, Inquisitor Valin Draco took the troopers as their guards because they must have been exceptional warriors if they could guard the Empire's secret storehouse. After that, around 17 BBY, a small group of clone shadow troopers went with Draco to retrieve Darth Rivan's holocron, where they encountered some Alderaanian Resistance agents working for Jedi Master Denia; they were easily defeated.  The clone shadow troopers were eventually the model for the storm commandos and shadow stormtroopers.
I chose to turn this figure into a Shadow Trooper because of they were both part of the Republic and the Empire and are suitable for most of the period of the early movies of the Star Wars saga.  This gives a great deal of versatility to the figure himself. This figure was originally a Hasbro Clone Trooper in Phase II armour.  He is brand new and was only removed from his packaging for the repaint.  After the repaint he was returned to his original packaging.  This particular figure is a customized one of a kind.  He comes with his black body suit , repainted armour and a blaster.   I have included a photo of the figure before the repaint. His Phase II armour was repainted in the colors of a Shadow trooper.  The armour was also touched up with silver to give the armour a banged up metallic look.  His blaster was also dry brushed with silver to give it a metallic worn look.  Please check out my other listings.  I currently have about 50 custom action figures for sale on eBay.  I have been making and customizing figures for over ten years.
