This very beautiful sparkling solid Fairy Opal was found on the Queensland mining fields in Australia. It has blue/green flash and play of color- the fire is most prominent when light hits itand would look great in any setting. (this would make a great focal bead for a necklace project.

3 cts 8.9mmx 6mm with a 1mm hole drilled in the center. 

This mid sized rondelle fairy opal bead is jet black from carbonized treatment and the resulting opal matrix gives off a predominantly green and blue sparkle when light hits it and and at other times will appear jet black.

Some of these photos are macro shots under led and natural lighting to provide close ups of the sparkle. there are also a couple shots in low light to give an idea of sparkle in multiple conditions. please study pictures and measurements before bidding. The white spot on the bead in some shots is reflection from the lights
