D.O.A. EMERGENCY COINS 1916 TABORA - 20 HELLER COPPER Type  B - B.

Here is an OFFER for ONE COIN as described above, the photographs supplied having been taken of the actual coin
in this LOT and has to serve as part of the Coins description. This being a B-B Variety, this relates to Small Crown on the
Obverse and Pointed tips on the Reverse side. These were Minted at the Railway Yard in TABORA as an EMERGENCY
MEASURE to overcome the shortage of the HELLER Coinage of particular use to the ASKARIS the GERMANS had on
their side while fighting the British who at that time had a very effective Blockade of Dar es salaam. The Mintage has been
given as a mere 300 Thousand to include all the Six Varieties that are known in COPPER. Crude Minting means that nearly
each coin is in some way Unique and there are many views on this subject that are available on a simple Google search!.
