Please note we do not offer a reflow or reball alone for the Apple Macbook Pro ATI based Chipsets. For most other Sony, Toshiba models etc, either of these repair options are a suitable option, but through our extensive research we know that the only long-term solution for this model is to fit a brand new ATI chipset reballed with leaded solder. 

To our knowledge we cannot find a UK company offering this so all repairs on ebay are only temporary and will fail again in 2-5months!

What faults can we fix?

We can fix graphic/display issues relating to the 15" / 17" ATI 6490M / 6750M, 6770M models in 2011 Models. These are fixed using the appropriate professional equipment.

How do I know if I have this problem?

If your Apple Macbook Pro series has distorted/unusual graphics, Fan/DVD noises but no display, Vertical lines, Freezing, or Blank Screens the chances are it is related to the Graphics processing unit. If in doubt just ask.

Why does it happen?

As this is quite a new model there is no definitive answer. In previous generations it is mainly due to excessive heat and heat cycles. With some models we often find fans are clogged with fluff and dust preventing the machine cooling how it was designed.

What are you bidding on?

The 'Buy it Now' Price covers the cost of returning your laptop back to you once the repair is carried out. If we cannot repair we do not charge any additional costs on top of the £11.95.

Please note some repair companies will say they are carrying out the advanced repair- reballing (removal of chip) but in fact do not. Ask them for a picture of your board with chip removed. We will be happy to do this. As we are aware we are the only one of a few companies who are fitting brand new chipsets on ebay.

Service includes dismantling, repair and re-assemby and a clean inside and out.

The repair offered above caries a 6 month warranty for the same fault occurring if a brand new chipset is fitted. The customer is responsible for all carriage costs.
