6BK11 COMPACTRON VACUUM TUBE AMPEG JET J-12 ROCKET 2 B100R REVERBERROCKET GS-12 / R-12-RT

A very rare 1960’s triple-triode “compactron” vacuum tube used in Ampeg Jet, Rocket & Reverberrocket Amplifiers, and I’m told in some television sets as well.

This tube has tested strong by Classic & Vintage Audio Repair in San Diego and it works well in both the vibrato and preamp of a 1965 J-12T (solid state rectifier) and a 1964 J-12A (5Y3 tube rectifier) Jet amps I tried it in.

It has some of the original yellow Ampeg logo and partly washed off Sylvania printing on it.  On top, in black, it says 6BK11 and U.S.A.
