It Catches My Heart In Its Hands is
arguably the most beautiful and important Bukowski book. It was hand
printed by Jon and Gypsy Lou Webb
in New Orleans in 1963, when Hank was working as a postal clerk in downtown Los Angeles and literally
writing to keep from going insane. International fame was a decade away,
but this publication gave Buk the confidence and underground cachet he needed to continue. A truly magnificent collection of his greatest early poetry, it stands as an absolute
must have and cornerstone of any serious Bukowski collection. This copy
is extra special in that while all 777 copies were signed and dated, this one has extra hand embellishments
that are found on very few copies.
It also happens to be in amazing condition, the only flaws a tiny chip on
the cover and an abrasion to the upper
rear cover as seen in pictures. No foxing, negligible shelfwear, sharp corners and a clean and bright interior
mark this as very collectible. Interior tissue guards are all present and intact.
98 pages, 9x7. No international shipping.
