Up for sale is nude shibata recantilevered, Paradox Pulse recased, improved version of DENON DL-103R.

The 103R unit has been recantilevered by nude shibata, and recased in Paradox Pulse by me.

Personally I started to use Paradox from the last year and I do recasing by myself.
Terence Robinson gave me a great advice how to improve the sound of DL-103 and other cartridges, and I put my own idea into recasing process (You can find some pics of my recased carts on Terence's listings). The main difference of my recasing is to remove the plastic part of DL-103R as much as possible, also the front piece of the unit was carefully damped by micro lead shots to deaden the vibrations. This process surely works ;)

After some tryouts, I found that the more lead shots between Paradox and the cartridge unit, the better sound. Much stable and cleaner.
Thus, I used some custom sized lead shots to fill the gap between them.
I incorporated the damping process by lead shots not just for the Paradox recase but to all of my mod MCs from this time. It brought the major improvement in sound overall to my mods.
Bass became more defined, and the Shibata tip works in the high-frequency.

This recased 103R sounds something special. More detailed and "sensual", different from other mods which I listed this time. Recommended if you want to get the best one!

Otherwise, these days it's getting so difficult to get these vintage MC carts and Shibata styluses even in Japan. So I can't sell my mod versions on a frequent basis.
