Up for sale is this great Tibetan Burmese silver belt.  I'm not sure what % it is:I did test it for silver.  A seasoned expert told me that he thought it is from the early 20th century.   The buckle dawns some birds(peacocks?) as well as floral and other plant life.  On either side of the buckle at either end of the belt there are registers.  There are again floral and plants as well.   On one of these registers there is a signature.  I don't know how to read it so if anyone out there knows if you could let me know I'd appreciate it.  Please see conditions above.  The length is  30  " and the weight is  over 200  gms.   It was purchased from a family who got it as a gift from a friend who during her lifetime traveled throughout the world several times.   This belt would be easy to take on and off (see pics of the way the buckle goes on to it at either side.  The prongs fit into the buckle very snug.  Because of the patinated silver and the intricate embossed designs it is one of those things that is awesome to look at.
