PLEASE READ DESCRIPTIONS

Complete punched games include all maps, charts, rules, and counters and are sorted for ease of setup and play. Punched counters are verified against unpunched games or images of unpunched counter sheets. Punched counters are then sealed in trays or zip bags for shipping. Also if we end up paying less than originally quoted in shipping (this largely depends on the box and packing material weight, USPS boxes tend to weigh less than regular boxes) we will refund anything over our cost of postage (excluding ebay's fee on postage) .

Will Combine Shipping for Items (unless otherwise stated in auction) up to 10 days - Email us if you win (or bidding on) more than one item so that you do not pay too much in shipping. DO NOT pay for items if buying/bidding on more items because we must ship within 1 day of payment or it effects our seller ratings.

Tekumel, the world of fantasy and adventure. The setting for this fantasy campaign game is an alien planet, Tekumel, where a cosmic cataclysm stranded human and extra-territorial invaders eons past. A hostile world of poisonous flora and fauna, with intelligent and vengeful native races! Mankind and its allies must battle for survival with nothing save Medieval technology -- but magic aids them . . . and there are certain supernatural powers which may intervene.

Tékumel was created over several decades by M.A.R. Barker, now a retired professor of Urdu and South Asian Studies. In this world, huge medieval empires contest each other using magic, large armies, and ancient technology. Professor Barker began creating this world in his imaginative play as boy, and as a setting for short stories he wrote as a young man. In a 1984 interview, Barker states that the Tsolyani language and its writing system had taken their present forms by the time he was twelve years old -- long before his professional career as a linguist began.

Barker's own role playing rules for Tékumel developed over many years. In 1975, TSR released the first published rule set for this setting as Empire of the Petal Throne. Articles on Tékumel have appeared in general RPG magazines such as Dragon, The Space Gamer, Different Worlds, in dedicated magazines and fanzines such as Seal of the Imperium, and as postings by Professor Barker and his gamers to online forums and mailing lists.

The game contains three large full-color maps and an 8 1/4" X 11" book containing a brief history of Tekumel, roleplaying rules, descriptions of various races and creatures involved, and more. Share in this exciting fantasy world by playing EMPIRE OF THE PETAL THRONE.

Games stated as complete are for necessary components (maps, rules, charts, counters) that can only be present with that game and may or may not include blank counters or trays, dice, pencils, crayons, etc. things that are common to most games and can be easily switched from one game to another.
