A lovely antique watercolour painting of a French market scene from the 19th century. Full of life and character, locals can be seen shopping at a stall, perhaps buying bread or fruit. Entiitled "La Guize" which most likely refers to an area in France called "La Guise", which is known for its medieval castle. Very well painted, with lots of detail it comes in a gilt frame which suits it well. Goodall is a well listed artist- examples of his work can be found below:
