Atomic Bombs End WW II WW2 Hiroshima Nagasaki Japan Enola Gay Rescinded Stamp MINT!

This is a poster stamp issued to commemorate the use of the atomic bomb in World War 2. The first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb, the Enola Gay, was piloted by Colonel Paul W. Tibbets and targeted Hiroshima, Japan. A second bomb was later dropped on Nagasaki. This led to the surrender of Japan to the Allies in World War 2 in August of 1945. The stamp is based on a design created for use by the United States Postal Service, but the USPS stamp was rescinded after protests from the Japanese government in 1994. (The original design denominated 00 and the "History Denied" information sheet are shown for illustrative purposes only and are not part of the auction.) The stamp is a cinderella stamp in mint, never hinged with dry gum condition as issued in 1995. It was not issued by the USPS and is not valid for postage. It would make an interesting addition to any collection of World War 2 memorabilia, United States or Japanese history or cinderella stamps. FREE clear plastic protective display holder included! NEW SPECIAL BONUS OFFER: With every purchase of four or more of these stamps, one "History Denied" informational card similar to the one pictured will be included for FREE! Thanks for looking!
