Bogen 3021S / Manfrotto 055S
Ever wonder where Kirk Enterprises got the idea for their “Mighty Low Boy” converted Manfrotto tripod? Well, from Manfrotto! They offered a “chopped” version of their venerable 055 (Bogen 3021) tripod many years before Kirk was around. Because it is built on the sturdy, professional 055 platform, as opposed to the 3001 used by Kirk, it has a much higher load capacity. This one up for auction has been rebuilt by me, to even better than new condition. Like Kirk, I replaced all critical screws with stainless steel for lasting durability. With the exception of the faded Bogen label, this tripod looks new.
The photos of the actual item show the outstanding condition of this beauty. Additional stock photos, from Kirk’s web site, show how this versatile tripod can be used.
The 3021S is a “chopped”
version of the 3021N (055D) tripod.
The over all length and folded length has been shortened. The center
post can be split to form a short center post and has a standard 3/8” center
screw. The shorter length effectively
increases the load capacity of this sturdy tripod. This innovative tripod gives the durability
and performance needed by both amateur and professional photographers.
Note: all
measurements are made without a tripod head.
