Emerald

New with tag. This is a nice artisan designed ring in size 9.  The stone is real emerald, and the setting is genuine sterling silver, stamped 925.

The emerald is a dark green.  As with most genuine gemstones, this emerald does have some inclusions.  The stone is a 5X7mm oval cut stone, and weights 1ct.  The stone is bezel set in the sterling silver, and the shank has an openwork three-leaf design.


The genuine sterling silver used in this piece of jewelry is nickel-free.  In addition, the sterling silver is platinum plated to help reduce tarnishing, and to ensure an even shine.  Re-sizing is not recommended, and can damage the platinum plating. 

Subjecting precious metals, pearls or gemstones to harsh chemicals and high temperatures can be damaging.
