These fork s/brace are going as high as $55.00+ usd in R5 Yams (see pics) and we just sold out the last of 230 units of Kaw 500 H1 braces from the '70's.
All Kaw 500 mach III, most Yam R5, BMW R100/R90/R75's, CB/CL350's, and Suz T500's have all sold out cause these braces work.

*This brace is for early forks on
non-disc brake machines (1968) 1969 K1 and earlier
450s. No need to completely disassemble forks to mount up-as with some other braces. Will fit earlier drum brake bikes if triple tree is same fork tube configuration (35mm and fork tubes same distance apart) as K1. Please read on. Thanks !

Measurements approx:
Inner edge to inner edge of 2 fork holes on brace = 5 3/8" (inches) x outer edge to outer edge of 2 fork holes on brace = 6 3/4" (inches). This spacing should match up to your bikes fork tubes (inner edge to inner edge and outer edge to outer edge of fork tubes).
We are told handy folks modify or have modified these braces to fit other model 450's, 500T's.
At this price almost free it's worth a shot at nicely improved handling.

Those who raced their bikes long ago at tracks like Nelson's Ledges whether in sprint races or the mighty 24-Hour can remember the spindly front forks we fought with and pumped up with heavier fork oil and stiffer fork springs. Another beautiful period art piece employed was the made in Japan Super brace stabilizing  bridge truss which helped stiffen forks, stabilized steering, and increased handling prowess of the upper and lower triple clamps by reducing fork flex. Much like aftermarket stronger upper triple clamps, the New Old Stock Superbrace mounts as high as possible just under the lower triple clamp (fork lock) on drum brake machine only, acting as a stiffening bridge truss. They are strong enough some who extend their forks slide them down to add support to now more wobbly tweeked forks, ego the term tweek bar for added support. A fantastically dumb idea handling wise but people did this back in the 70's. By 1986 fork braces became standard equipment on most all motorcycles.

*Made for the early Honda 1969 CL450 K1 and earlier 450's drum brake machine only (non-disc brake machines only).

Novices though we were, running day and night on Frank's bike with four riders, nary a reliability problem for 24 hours!

From Mark Smith YAM/KAW/HONDA Racing Products Catalog found in the back of an ancient warehouse remaining lost and undelivered for years, a small box of parts, still addressed to a local dealer. Inside a rarer brand new old stock Japan made, 30+ year old Honda CL450 K1 Superbrace.
If you saw the 1972 24-Hours of Nelson's (Ledges) race decades ago or sprint races... back in the '70's, or maybe passed a 1969 CL450 K1 on your way to the track, a keen eye may have just noticed a mounted Superbrace on one of our racebikes, giving one the 'racer's edge.'

When first opening the Cl450 Superbrace Stabilizer Bridge Truss still wrapped in delicate protective tissue wrap, you feel like an archaeologist having just unearthed a rare treasure from decades past. Held in hand,Japan artisan's pride in precision, hand polished metalwork, is apparent. The gorgeous alloy piece, artwork worth of The Museum of Modern Art, blends well with CL450 K1 lines, and...
often serves as a conversation magnet gathering crowds when parked at a local Starbuck's.

Like the sold out $131.00 BMW machined and polished 6061 billet aluminum Superbrace Fork Stabilizer/brace truss once exclusively distributed by Luftmeister BMW, the CL450 version helps reduce fork flex, aiding rigidity, stability, and helps index fork alignment. Acting as an additional bridge or truss between the fork tubes and lower/upper triple tree stiffening the entire unit and... giving your stock Honda 450 or track bike a synergistic edge in handling.

How neat looking is the CL450 Superbrace?
On cold winter nights when sleep fails to come and coffee percolates in a pot, holding it in hand at the kitchen table disassembling it with
your 6mm metric allen and marveling at its solid precision construction is a joy. We feel you'll be proud to own it!

*Made for the Honda CL450 K1 and earlier drum brake machines only (non-disc brake machines only).

"A subtle but noticeable improvement in feel. Much appreciated thanks"  DL
