Thi is a vintage 1945 lightly used copy of a King James Version Holy Bible Scofield Reference Edition, Oxford University Press printed in the USA. Bound in navy blue period French Morocco leather, the bible features a single blue ribbon marker, art gilded pages, complete Scofield references, and concordance. The Books of the Old and the New Testament are tabbed for quick reference. The cover is in good condition with some minor wear to the edges at the top and bottom of the spine. The Holy Matrimony, Births, Marriages and Deaths pages in the front have been taped and are yellowed in the fold. There is a 1 inch tear above the tab on the first page of Genesis and a 1 inch tear above the tab on the second page of James. There is writing from a previous owner in the back blank pages. Gilding on page edges is scratched. There are also less than 10 pages throughout the book with red underlining in red pencil. This is a very nice example of a bible that is approximately 70 years old. |
