♥ DESCRIPTION: A stunning, very rare to find, vintage, very beautiful cornflower blue & small white polka dots, pure cotton sailor dress (40s/50s swing/jive tea dance rockabilly dress) by Laura Ashley, with beautiful styling ~ in a soft gorgeous lawn cotton ~ featuring a v-neckline with a v-insert ~ sailor style, large, squared, collar with two narrow strips of white braid around the edge, with two long, white ribbon neck ties beneath which can be tied, or left untied as you choose ~ seamed waist leading to the long, floaty skirt with two slit hand pockets in the side seams ~ skirt is lightly pleated at top and falling into long wide floaty skirt below...
The back is lovely also ~ with the pretty 'sailor' collar, edged in white braid ~ a long concealed zip for fastening down the centre ~ & the very elegant long floaty skirt.
This dress is beautifully detailed to create a very 40s / 50s starlet jive rockabilly war bride look, with the ribbon ties ties, nautical collar, & the lovely subtle hour glass shaping, ~ with the polka dot print & the exquisite cornflower blue colour just adding that extra touch of WOW!!!...This dress is just divine!!!
Look fabulous worn in the day with sandals, or out at night with high heels and bright red lipstick...ABSOLUTELY ideal for weddings, as a wedding party guest, or as a bridesmaid, could even be worn as a wedding dress or going away dress for a 50s / 40s themed wedding.
