1)  A piece of veneer is chipped off the top of one of the speakers.  It looks like a cigarette burn, but, is not.  It measures about 1/2" x 1/4".

2)  There appears to be horizontal scratches are on the side of one speaker.  The blemish measures about 1" x 1/4"

3)  There are some other minor scratches and nicks to the veneer.  Overall, the veneer on the cabinets is in very good condition for being 40 years old.

4)  There is some chipping on the front of both speakers near the rotatable baffle.

5)  All drivers are OEM.  New surrounds were installed on 2231A's and 2121's in 2013 by Lloyd Faulkner at Spectrum Sound in St. Louis.  He has been my speaker guy for over 30 years.  I trust no one else.

6)  New grille cloth was installed in 2012.  It is the original "studio blue" cloth.  A member of the Lansing Heritage Forum tracked down the company that supplied JBL with their grille cloth in the 70's.  He bought 500 linear yards and sold it in pieces to forum members.  It's the real deal!  When Lloyd was installing the new cloth, he repaired a few minor cracks in the frames (not pictured).

7)  When I purchased these speakers, they were missing the 2308 lenses.  I purchased a new-old-stock set on ebay.

8)  No functional issues, they sound fantastic!

****Local pickup only****  It is recommended that the new owner make arrangements to preview the speaker before any sale is finalized.  If you don't live in the St. Louis metro area, please try to find someone local that can preview them on your behalf.  These speakers are being sold as-is, as described.  All sales are final.  I will not accept a return on this item. 

I kept the wood crating that was used to ship them to me in 2001.  The new owner is welcome to it at no additional charge.
