Well… here it is. We’ve found it. The cleanest, most beautiful and complete example of a 25/50 Anniversary Les Paul from the first production year, 1978, in the rare UNAGED, as-it-came-from-the-factory natural finish.
When we talk about complete condition, we are talking original chainsaw case in excellent condition with all functioning latches AND the rare still-intact lid ribbon, factory protective film still on the back control plate AND the pickguard, original owner’s warranty card and the ultimate case candy…the 25/50 Belt Buckle which can fetch nearly 1k on its own. Top that off with nearly no nicks, dings or even scratches and that’s what makes this one perfect. There are many clean examples out there, but few in this truly impeccable of condition. Collectors… this is the one you’ve been waiting for. Better yet, the first reasonable offer takes her home.
The top on this example is quite incredible. It mixes all the best features a guitar can have. Its got tons of mouth-watering flame for you to gawk at with lots of tasty wood grain underneath, sprinkled with beautiful mineral streaks that make this example stand out.
The neck features a nice surprise/peak-a-boo flame where it is really subtle looking up close, but explodes with wide flame when looking at it from afar! Even the back of this guitar has some figuring in the choice mahogany wood.
The gold hardware glistens in the light with only minor signs of pitting, but next to no tarnishing.
Her finish is untouched by the aging ways of Mother Nature and Father Time. She is a time-capsule. A blonde lady in her youth pining to be the centerpiece of your collection.
