Das Objektiv stammt aus einer Beier Beirax, einer deutschen Mittelformatkamera aus den Fünfzigern. Ich habe das Objektiv auf einen Adapter für Sony E-Mount montiert.
Das Objektiv war fest in die Kamera eingebaut. Um es als Wechselobjektiv für moderne Kameras nutzbar machen zu können, waren einige Umbauten nötig.
An einer modernen Kamera kann das Objektiv manuell genutzt werden. Fokussierung und Blende müssen von Hand eingestellt werden. Die Kamera stellt dann automatisch die korrekte Belichtungszeit ein.
Die Blende geht ohne Rasterungen von 4,5 bis 16, die Fokussierung geht von ca. 1,5m bis Unendlich. Das Objektiv ist ein Dreilinser und blau vergütet. Die Blende hat 10 Lamellen.
Die Linsen sind in einem guten Zustand. Im Inneren des Objektivs ist etwas Staub, was aber normal ist für ein Objektiv diesen Alters. Der äußere Zustand ist gut, es gibt einige wenige Gebrauchsspuren.
Das Objektiv ist mit dem Adapter verschraubt und kann z.B. zur Wartung wieder zerlegt werden. Ich habe eine neue Bodenplatte aus PLA mit einem 3D-Drucker hergestellt. Diese ist auf der einen Seite mit dem Objektiv verschraubt, auf der anderen Seite mit dem Adapter. Der 'Balgen' ist ebenfalls aus PLA, er ist Teil der Bodenplatte und nicht faltbar.
Das Objektiv kann direkt an alle Kameras mit Sony E-Mount angeschlossen werden. Das Objektiv war für Mittelformatfilm gedacht, es sollte also auch den Vollformat-Sensor einer Sony A7 abdecken.

This is a lens taken from a Beier Beirax, a german medium format camera from the Fifties which i adapted for Sony E-Mount.
The lens was fixed onto the camera. To make it usable as an interchangeable lens, i had to immobilize the shutter and to remove everything that could get in the way.
On a modern digital camera this lens can be used in manual mode. You set the focus and the aperture, the camera takes care of the correct shutter speed.
The Barrel shows some minor signs of wear but is overall in a good condition. Focusing ranges from 1.5 meters to infinity, the aperture ranges from 4.5-16. The aperture has 10 blades.
The lens has three lens elements and has a blue coating. There is a bit of dust between the lenses which is normal for a lens of this age. The lens will fit on any camera with Sony E-Mount like the Sony Nex or Sony A6000 and it will cover the APS-C sensor of these cameras. The lens will also fit on a Sony A7 and cover it's bigger sensor.
The lens is fixed with screws on the adapter. I made a new base plate made of PLA with a 3D-printer. This base plate is screwed into the lens on one side. On the other side it is screwed into the adapter.
The 'bellows' is also made of PLA. It is part of the base plate and not collapsible.
