Beautiful 4.5tcw Mintabie Gem opal/ semi-Crystal Base with subtle gold straw Flash and multicolor micro striping pattern -16mm x 11mm x 3.5mm, this beautiful stone would look fabulous in any setting. My pictures are on the light side and it is a lighter stone with a rich pattern. This stone has more gold/red than pictured. The stripes are thin but packed nice and have sparkle/roll. it is solid and not a doublet or triplet. professionally finished and ready to set. 

Great color, clarity and flash- low dome (very slight curve to the face) nice thin but wide stone- great for ring or pendant setting.

Being a semi crystal opal gemstone, it would get these colors regardless of backing to get the reds and greens seen in these photos.  Note- the stones straw pattern shows in all levels of light, but not pictured well as opals may show as other colors on camera.

I included a number of pictures in an effort to try and capture the color roll and beauty in this piece. These pictures are macro/close ups and are the best I could do being difficult to capture color. it is a light base stone but color reacts well to light.

This was purchased direct from a mining producer in Australia. I tried to capture in a variety of light settings to give an idea of color patterns. These are macro photos taken in led and natural light so any irregularities should show up in photos.  some of these shots were in fairly low light
