ROSS ENSIGN SELFIX 820 SPECIAL
FOLDING 120 ROLLFILM RANGEFINDER CAMERA

Non coupled rangefinder, dual format and fitted with the superb Ross Xpres 105mm f3.8 lens. This is the relatively rare variant with the Prontor SVS shutter, rather than the usual Epsilon, made towards the end of its production run in 1960/61. It gives 8 6x9 (nominal... more like 6x8 really) or 12 6x6 frames on 120 roll film.
It is in excellent condition with only signs of light use; lens is clean, clear and undamaged and bellows are good, aperture and blades are oil free, however the shutter is sticky on the slow speeds and the rangefinder image only moves slowly despite the wheel moving smoothly, although it's accurate enough, so a little attention is required. I've used the camera on many occasions and been very satisfied with the results.
Includes an ever ready case, a lens hood and filters, some instructions and a rare Ensign short cable release.
