Nice condition Focus One Platter

The original suede 'mat' has been removed and replaced with the highly regarded (and very effective), Inspire Acrimat, which is included in the sale.

The original mats on Focus Ones were effectively a piece of pink suede material stuck on to the platter. This did a pretty poor job of reducing ringing in the platter or of supporting the record well. The AcriMat is a big improvement, helping with resonance and providing a near perfect 'material' interface with the vinyl.

The top surface of the platter still has the glue residue from the original mat, which gives a degree of damping to the platter. 
In terms of performance it is best left as it is; in terms of looks it doesn't matter as you can't see it once the mat is on; if you are the type of person who cleans behind fridges because you know there may be dirt there and you won't rest knowing it's there, then you could easily remove it.

All in very nice condition as per pic's and very rare to find for sale.
