19th Century European Bronze Minogame Japanese Turtle Inkwell 

This is an unusual 19th century European bronze inkwell in the form of a Japanese Minogame turtle, circa 1860. 

CONDITION the turtle stands unevenly. One screw replaced to the base

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
