1954 OMEGA Vintage Mens
30T2 Watch, Larger Model - Stainless Steel
30T2 Based Movement - Croc Strap with
Omega Buckle - 1 Year Warranty
30T2 Based Movement - 1 Year Warranty
In contrast to the larger
size of many of today's high end wristwatches, the majority of vintage
era wristwatches possessed a much smaller profile. A notable exception
to this trend were Omega's full size watches with 30mm movements.
For the watches with
manually wound movements, which constitute the majority, they used
calibers that had always started with the famous 30 T2 movement, whose
reputation for reliability and accurate timekeeping landed it a role
serving the critical timing needs of the world's Armed Forces during
World War II. As time progressed they then often added upgrades to the
movement such as a shock protection system, additional jewels, and
other modifications - as is the case with the Cal. 266 mechanism found
in this watch.
The
watch measures 35mm without the crown - one mm smaller than a Rolex
Datejust. The movement is clean and keeping extremely accurate time.
We have fitted the watch
with a new crocodile strap and new Omega buckle making it ready for
immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a
one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed
Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing
certificate. |
