Beautiful portrait shot, 5" x 7", blank back. Julius la Rosa (B. Brooklyn, NY 2/2/30), was one of the biggest draws on Arthur Godfrey's TV shows, had Huge hit with "Eh, Cumpari" in 1953 and was fired on air by Godfrey 10/19/1953. The backlash ruined Godfrey's career. Julius became a regular on Ed Sullivan. Later became popular Disc Jockey on WNEW (New York). From a one owner collection found in North Central Indiana. These are studio portrait/glamour shots, most likely for publicity or fan club purposes. Signatures are printed on facsimiles. My scanner can not do justice to the quality of these photos. See scan for idea of condition. See my other auctions for other fun stuff! I will continue listing still photos from this collection, and have other similar quality photos in my store.
