Offered here is a delightfully, charming oil MOD Mid Century style painting of a Parisian street scene from the 1950's, most likely painted by one of the Montmartre "starving artists".

This large painting depicts the bustling, champs-elysées, exhibiting high fashion, flower carts, even a horse drawn carriage, as well as those magnificent 19th century buildings in the city of lights!

Berte, clearly a confident, accomplished artist, painted this very colorful piece with quick brush strokes, that just add to the overall energy of the work. Please note the dainty high heels on the ladies!

This lovely painting is sure to compliment your living room. Just needs a frame!

Although we can not find other work by Berte, this high quality painting is way above tourist quality. It originally sold for $245.00, back in the day and that was very high! Wooden stretcher frame has other pencil writings, besides the price in pencil.

Signed "Berte".

Measures approximately 36" long, 24" wide and 3/4" high " ".

Item is in excellent condition.  There seems to be a darker line on the top from the old frame which will be covered again when re-framed.

Shipping insurance is included.
