Here you are looking at the VTX-71 Series Ooscillator from SIWARD. Its new version with RoHS compliant is still in current production by the factory. At moderate specification and good condition as shown, they are still in use on small run production, and here you can keep some spares for projects or experimentations at low cost.
Unlike TCXO oscillator, the VTX-71 provides input pin for frequency tuning control voltage, resulting a more precise frequency which you can't achieve with the common TCXO. This can be implemented with a PLL on monitoring the output frequency. You may also skip this control circuitry and hook up a control voltage with just a resistor trimmer and in this way, the VTX-71 works like its brother TXO-71 (TCXO version). This VTX-71 simply gives you more flexibility and precision than normal TCXO which you find in the market.
14.4MHz divide evenly into the following ham frequenies (well be awared that not all these frequencies are legally available for ham globally) : 144MHz, 432MHz, 1296MHz, 2304MHz, 3456MHz, 5760MHz, 10.368GHz and 24.192GHz . This means you can multiply 14.4MHz up to generate your LO or signal source for all the microwave bands as shown below. Again, a handful part in your drawer.
