DESCRIPTION: Delectable Mountains is a quilt sewing pattern in the Best-Loved Quilt Patterns series published by Oxmoor House.
From the leaflet Forward: "The name of this pattern comes from John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress, a religious allegory publshed in 1678. Along with the Bible, this was one of the few books considered proper for young women in Colonial society to read. Because the Delectable Mountains of the story represent a place of great beauty, it seems appropriate that quilters should give the name to a beautiful quilt pattern."
