Very fine antique carved walnut twin fusee 8 day Black Forest mantle/shelf cuckoo clock dated 1867, signed G.H.S (Gordian Hettich & Sohn Furtwangen, Germany). This fine antique twin fusee cuckoo clock has a beautifully carved walnut case, carved with leafy trees below a pitched roof, the dial having Roman numerals of inlaid bone & the hands also fashioned in bone. To the top is a rustic door from where the cuckoo will appear on the hours & half hours, the clock standing on an ornate carved bracket base. The works are all original & in great condition and is stamped "G.H.S 67", the back door is original with the original gong, to the top is a pair of belows which produce the cuckoo song (sorry about the quality of the video & sound it was taken on a cell phone!). The clock is totally original including the pendulum & key, the clock keeps wonderful time & is in great condition, just been cleaned & overhauled by a professional horologist, size is; 15" tall x 12" wide x 8" deep.
