Welcome to my auction for a lovely vintage Tilley Gaurdsman Paraffin pressure lantern in good condition.Comes complete with a new unused mantle.

The lantern hasn't been used for some time but it was working when last used,. It pumps up and holds pressure and vaporises as it should as it should.The lamp comes with a new genuine tilley mantle that is included in the auction.

A good thing about Tilley lamps compared to other pressure lamps is they have a built in "pricker" which clears the vaporiser keeping the lamp burning well.

Please remember this isn't a new lamp, the glass is free from cracks or chips,the base is free from dents and a nice gold colour and the hood although not perfect is in very good order or a guardsman.there is surface corrosion on the hood in places and the cage is rusted-its not a new tilley but it does work well. the base is brass and you can remove the paint and polish them to a mirror finish if you have the patience,they do look fantastic once polished.

Please note that mantles are fragile once they have been lit and the one in the lamp may not make it to you in one piece.
